If you can figure out the New York Giants, then fill me in. Are they trying to get Tom Coughlin fired? They are dangerously close to missing the playoffs, but will probably limp in for no other reason than no other NFC team looks poised to step up. I don’t like Couglin’s style - this team is better than their record but he isn’t the one to right the ship. If the Giants make the playoffs, the don’t have a prayer - and Tom Coughlin will be gone right behind them.

Another team on the brink of still more changes is the Minnesota Vikings. I lost track on Sunday of the number of times the offense went off side - at home no less. And is there anyone in the world who doesn’t know that you can abandon the running game and throw all day long on this defense. Finally, and probably most obviously, with remaining games in Green Bay and at home to the Rams, it’s time to sit Brad Johnson and find out what Tarvaris Jackson can do. Brad is old, immobile and completely ineffective. Time to turn the page and move forward.

The Dallas Cowboys came out with an impressive victory against the Atlanta Falcons Saturday night, but this wasn’t the story. As usual, Terrell Owens stole the limelight, admitting in an NFL Network interview that he spit in the face of Falcon cornerback DeAngelo Hall. Apparently, T.O. was upset that Hall bragged about successfully keeping him from the end zone in last year’s season opener, way back when Owens played for the Eagles. Another classless act by Terrell Almighty.

You want class? Two words - Ladainian Tomlinson. I’ll reiterate what I said a week or so ago - I hope we see him in the Super Bowl. He’s an extraordinary talent. There will be many LaDainian Tomlinson jerseys under the Christmas Tree this year - and no wonder.
