The NBA season has started and there have been some incredible games with remarkable results. Some surprises include the New Orleans Hornets going 3-0, the Chicago Bulls going 0-3, and Danny Granger winning the Player of the Week honors for the Eastern Conference.
Danny Granger scored over 20 points in three consecutive games for the first time in his career to lead the Indiana Pacers to an unbeaten record through three games. In total, he averaged 22.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals.
It was Granger's first ever NBA Player of the Week honor and he was joined by the Western Conference's Tracy McGrady, of the Houston Rockets.
Tracy McGrady also led his team, the Houston Rockets, to a 3-0 record and stood out as a leader on a very talented team. McGrady is leading the league so far with 32.3 points per game. On top of that, T-Mac has handed out 4.7 assists and grabbed 4.3 rebounds.
They've done it! Not only did the Boston Red Sox win the World Series, but they completely dominated it. The Colorado Rockies seemed like they would be up for the challenge following a few weeks of incredible baseball, but the Boston Red Sox quickly dissolved those dreams - sweeping the series in four games.
Mike Lowell of the Sox won the MVP award for the playoffs after hitting .400 in the series as well as having a fantastic game four to close out the series. In the final game he hit one home run, a double, and finished with two runs in the 4-3 victory.
Boston completed the daunting task of winning it all for the second time in four years, making this Red Sox team one of the true legendary squads of the past decade.
Brett Favre of the Green Bay Packers has flirted with retirement over the past few years. It's a good thing for sports fans that he is still playing today. Without Favre, the NFL season wouldn't have the feel good story of the year.
Favre has not only gone on to set the new NFL career touchdown pass record, but he has also led his Packers to a division leading 4-1 record.
It is very likely that this is Favre's last season in the league, although nothing can be considered a certainty with the way he has persevered in the past.
No matter what happens, Brett Favre jersey will always be among the all-time classics. You can get yours today at our online store!
Kobe Bryant trade rumors are stronger than ever. He has said many times in the past that he is dissatisfied with the way things are being handled in LA. The gap between Kobe and management has continued to grow and it is now public knowledge that offers are brewing.
Mark Cuban has recently stated that he would be willing to explore trade ideas regarding Kobe and the Chicago Bulls are considered to be hot in contention for the superstar's services.
With the season starting in only a few days, expect for action to be coming soon. If nothing happens from the get-go, I'd expect a couple of weeks delay before something is processed. If the Bull and Mavericks start off hot, they might not see a reason to change things up.
If Kobe gets traded, however, expect his new jersey to reach the top of the charts.
Tom Brady is playing some of the best football of all-time. The Patriot's quarterback is not only on pace to set the new NFL passing touchdown record, he's set to shatter it.
Peyton Manning currently holds the record with 49 in 2004, Brady is on pace for 62. He's thrown at least three touchdowns in each game this season and is showing no signs of slowing down, passing for six against the Dolphins on Sunday.
Thanks to the re-emergence of Randy Moss, Brady finally has a superstar option as a receiver. While they don't seem to have much of a running game, they don't really need one - seeing as how they are 7-0 so far this season.
Tom Brady's jersey is in demand these days, so make sure you get yours at our online store!
As for the Dolphins, who were beat up by the Pats this week. Well, they're 0-7. So maybe you'd be more interested in purchasing a Dolphins jersey that reminds you of better days. One from 1972, perhaps?
David Beckham's jersey is the most sought after jersey in all of sports, according to the Yahoo Buzz Log. Beckham may not be playing a whole lot for the LA Galaxy of the MLS, but he is still making the multi-million dollar signing worth its while.
Beckham has been out of action for weeks and has only suited up for 3 league games all year. The result? 0-3. Nonetheless, Beckham is still the most recognizable name in all of soccer and his move to America has been well documented.
A Los Angeles Galaxy jersey with Beckham's name on it is sure to be fashionable for years to come.
Greg Oden, the #1 pick in the NBA Draft, may be out for the season, but there is still plenty to look forward to with this year's draft class.
Kevin Durant is going to be expected to lead the Seattle Supersonics after the franchise parted ways with it's two star players, Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis.
Al Horford and Acie Law will be expected to contribute in Atlanta, both having the potential to start some games for the young and talented club.
Yi Jianlian, from China, is one of the most anticipated players in the draft. The Milwaukee Buck's player will have to fight hard to make a name for himself in this league, but will surely draw a lot of attention in the media all season long due to the hype around China's best player since Yao Ming.
There are a number of other rookies that will be exciting to watch this year. Mike Conley of the Grizzlies, Corey Brewer of the Timberwolves; and Joakim Noah of the Bulls will all become household names in the coming years.
The season is starting soon, so be sure to pick up their new NBA jerseys at our online store.
Alex Rodriguez is considering whether or not to hang up his Yankees jersey and make a move to another team.
The Major League Baseball superstar is said to be worth at least $30 million per year in the open market. His agent, Scott Boras, is hinting at the possibility of a new team acquiring the talented player.
The likely American League MVP and his team came up short in their first-round playoff match against the Cleveland Indians. Rodriguez hasn't quite been able to gain the favor of the big city fans in his four years with the team.
No matter where A-Rod goes, it will be sure to draw a lot of attention. If he's putting on a new jersey next year, you can be sure that it will be among the best sellers in the States.
Chris Drury was one of the major off-season acquisitions of the New York Rangers. After the first game of the season, his signing is already paying dividends.
Drury was able to score one goal and add two assists in his Rangers debut. With the score tied 2-2, Drury was able to wrist a rebound past Tomas Vokoun, the Florida Panther's goaltender.
Drury was brought in for extra offense and he brought just that. He looked good all night long in the NHL's new streamlined jerseys and was able to meet the expectations of the demanding New York crowd.
If you're a hockey fan looking for a stylish authentic Rangers Reebok Edge jersey or other apparel, you'll certainly find what you're looking for in our authentic jersey store!
While there have already been two regular season games played in London, England, the rest of the NHL season starts on October 3.
This year the players will be wearing the new streamlined jerseys. Several teams have completely revamped their logos while all teams have altered their jerseys in some form or another.
Regarding the new Reebok jersey's, Gary Bettman, the NHL commissioner, stated that "the new uniform takes advantage of developments in new fabrics, but the change was done not for the stylistic. It was done for performance and safety. It was time. Our basic uniforms haven't changed in 40 years."
It was time, indeed. And now the players will be looking better than ever while also gaining the performance advantages of the new design. The players will have a better range of motion in the new jerseys, which are also more aerodynamic than the previous style.
If you're interested in purchasing an NHL jersey, please browse our online store to find your favorite player or team.
The Boston Celtics are back front-and-center these days, thanks to the off-season acquisitions of Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett.
With all the recent talk about the Celtics finally being relevant again, it made me think: When was the last time they were relevant? Obviously they were a big deal with Larry Bird, but were they considered favorites anywhere between then and now?
First off, let's define relevant. I'm not talking about going to the finals when I say relevant, I'm simply saying that they are a contender and considered a threat. The Larry Bird led Celtics, much like the Red Auerbach coached squad before that, were considered a threat even on the decline.
1995 is the only year between Bird's days and now that the Celtics seemed like any sort of threat. Nonetheless, I would argue that they weren't in contention. Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker were doing all they could, but they weren't going to win the Championship.
Now, with Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce leading the way, they are destined for greatness. Will they win it all? We don't know just yet. We do know, however, that they have three of the biggest names in the business and are sure to create a buzz everywhere they go.
Before the season even begins, you can wear your Celtics green proudly. Take a look at our online store and get ready for the exciting season to come!
The Philadelphia Eagles went back into history on Sunday, using their yellow and powder blue throwback jerseys to commemorate their 75th anniversary.
These jerseys were originally worn in the franchise's inaugural season.
Before Sunday, the Frankford Yellowjackets donned the yellow and blue colors in the City of Brotherly Love, wearing them from 1924 until 1931, when they suspended operations. The Yellowjackets were able to capture the NFL Championship in 1926 wearing these colors, which are based on the colors of Philadelphia's city flag.
On Sunday, the Eagles built upon the success of the Yellowjackets and dominated the Detroit Lions by a score of 56-21.
Eagles Quarterback Donovan McNabb threw for four touchdowns and 381 yards. Brian Westbrook also helped in the offensive attack, running for 110 yards while also catching five passes for 111 receiving yards. In total, Westbrook added 3 TD's for a fantastic outing, especially considering he was listed as questionable due to a minor injury.
If you're an Eagles fan looking to buy a jersey, please check out our online store to see what we've got available!
For so long basketball fanatics around the world are waiting for another US dream team. This coming Olympics this might happen again. Five of the most promising superstars are teamed up to get back from the embarrassing performance of the US Basketball team last Olympics. Kobe Bryant, Lebron “king” James, Kidd, Stoudamire and Anthony will try to snatch the pride back as the best basketball team in the world. These big names are again compared to the unmatched dream team of Jordan, Malone, Ewing, Barkley and “magic” Johnson. The question now is will they be able to play as a team and beat the powerhouse teams in the Olympics come next year?
After failing to get Mo Williams and Steve Francis, Miami Heats finally found a strong point guard. Even without those big names the Heats still managed to get an exciting player. They signed Smush Parker from the playoff team Los Angeles Lakers. Smush is Kobe Bryant’s starting point guard last season and proved to be stable in both defense and offense. The Heats now have a luxury of having size, shooting and defense from a point guard and not to mention a lesser effort to score from their main man Dwayne Wade. Miami Heats is definitely on the right track, they have a great chance in getting to the playoffs and maybe a championship trophy.
The NBA was startled by yet another issue, this time not by the fans nor by its players but by a referee. The FBI is currently investigating Tim Donaghy a 13 year veteran referee for shaving off points during a game. No matter how it turns out, this will definitely be a huge problem for the NBA in its upcoming season. A crucial call by a referee can win a championship game, imagine if every referee bets on the game they officiated how would games turn out? The game is practically in the palm of their hands unless the team is up by a huge margin and only a minute left in the 4th quarter. Tim Donaghy’s expression might be “you bet ya!” for the last 13 years in his career. Is there only one rotten apple in the basket? That is what the NBA needs to find out.
Talk about hitting big in baseball! Japanese import Ichiro Suzuki gets the deal of a lifetime. The 2007 All-star game MVP took a $90 million five-year contract extension from his team Seattle Mariners. The move has created a buzz among MBL’s franchises, though the Mariners think that they made the right decision others think that it was a careless move. It is somehow a great risk to take a player at his mid 30’s and will be at his near 40’s at the end of the contract. Only one thing is for sure, all is well for Ichiro and by the end of the day he will go home with a huge “warai” on his face.
After the NBA 2007 draft was concluded, Greg Oden wore a no. 1 on his forehead. The question now is if Portland Trailblazers took the right guy. As the start of the NBA summer league in Las Vegas, players were able to showcase their talent to build a good first impression. Unfortunately Greg Oden flopped showing an awful performance in his first game against the Celtics. He fouled his way on the court getting a 10, only adding 8 points on his name and the worst part is, the Celtics only gave him a one-on-one defense. Could he be the leagues next best center or the next overrated player?
It is summer and new signings are hot. New items are about to be signed in 2-4 weeks by famous baseball players.
In the beginning of this year Tony Gwynn was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. He is one of the best and most consistent hitters in baseball history. Do not miss his signing of on July 8th.
Dontrelle Willis, "D-Train", Florida Marlins Ace has a signing on July 14th.
Sandberg was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in January 2005. Ryne Sandberg, Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame Second Baseman, has a signing on August 2nd.

The latest buzz about the National Hockey league is that they’re adding two teams in the league. It has brought fans and critics alike to comment upon the leagues action. Many say that it is a foolish move and that it’s clearly a marketing strategy. This year the league has lost a lot of its popularity. The ratings have gone extremely low that they needed to take desperate move.
The league plans to add 2 teams, one from Las Vegas and the other one from Kansas City. Let’s face it the team needs the money to rebuild the league back to what it was before. But with this move a lot of fans are discouraged to continue patronizing the league but there are also those who are excited to see new teams play especially fans from those of Kansas City and Las Vegas. It’s still something that we should look forward too and find out what it brings to the league.

After the NBA 2007 finals was recently concluded another event is closing in. This coming June 28, 2007 the much awaited NBA draft takes place at the Madison Square Garden, New York. All eyes are on the top players who are vying to get the No. 1 draft pick. Portland trail blazers get to pick first followed by the Seattle Supersonics. Both teams need to get the best player from the draft to be able to get a better chance of winning a title. It’s going to be a tough choice for both teams because of the top two players.
Fan Votes are pretty much close, it’s either Kevin Durant or Greg Oden. Kevin Durant is a 6’9” forward scoring machine and a rebounding leader that every team in the NBA are dying to have. Greg Oden is a 7’0” Center with a great defensive skill and if developed may become the best center in the NBA. For me I’m going for Greg Oden, defense is always the best key to a good offense. So what’s your fearless forecast?
The Cleveland Cavaliers find themselves in a familiar situation after losing Game 2 of the best of 7 NBA finals this year against the San Antonio Spurs. As we all know the Cavs came back from a 0-2 deficit against the Pistons and managed to regain composure and won 4 straight games making them the Eastern conference champs.
Lebron James must bring his act together to bring the team back in the series. After 2 games the Cavs has not yet found a way to stop the Duncan and Parker duo but we should expect the Cavs to come back strong this Game 3. Early in the first quarter Lebron had a foul trouble which kept him on the bench and was down by 25 points at the half. Come the fourth quarter Lebron brought his team back to life after trailing from the huge deficit and nearly stole the game from the Spurs. They need to hang in there and play every quarter like it was the last quarter of the ball game.

The 2007 NBA finals have a new contender. There were hundreds of fearless forecasts from fans to analysts but now it’s down to just two teams. The western conference champs San Antonio Spurs meet a surprisingly young team, a newbie in the finals the eastern conference champs Cleveland Cavaliers. The answers to the questions now unfold as who will take home the crown as the 2007 NBA finals champions. Will the Duncan dynasty continue or will Lebron James strip the crown and live up to his name as “King” James. Who do you think will pave its way to victory?
If you followed the news lately around Alex Rodrigues, you probably know every detail of his night out in Toronto. Amazingly the article in the tabloid New York Post reveals every minute of that rendezvous. A-Rod is not a political figure and all he has to do is to play his best to justify his huge salary of $25,000,000. When he is not playing it’s pretty much his own business what he does.
However he is surely a top notch in Baseball and Alex Rodriguez jersey remains a top seller. For more information please go to Alex Rodriguez’s page.

I watched and listened with great interest the fan reaction Saturday night in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre as the members of the 1966-67 Stanley Cup winning Toronto Maple Leafs were introduced. I sat (and stood) at home applauding as each former player came out onto the ice. I’ve heard all the comments from older fans who complained that the applause for Dave Keon and the rest of this victorious team was “polite”. Why are we surprised?

As most of the world knows, the Game of Games, THE sporting event event of the year (only the Summer Olympics draws more attention and only the inauguration of a President requires more security) was played yesterday, February 4th. That's right, I am talking about none other than the NFL Super Bowl, where the top teams of the American and National football conferences go head to head, with the winner being declared world champions. This years game was played in Miami, Florida, in Dolphin Stadium and pitted the
NFC champion Chicago Bears against the AFC champion Indianapolis Colts. The game was won by the Colts by the score of 29-17, in a rain-soaked game chock full of turnovers, missed catches and botched handoffs, due in most part to the steady rain that never really let up.

So, we have our Super Bowl contest set. Way back in September, I didn’t expect the Bears to take the NFC. I really thought this was Philadelphia’s year. As far as the AFC is concerned, there were so many contenders, I feel like I’ve seen the Super Bowl twice already this year!
Looking at the matchups, I give the defensive nod to the Bears - unfortunately, we’ll have to wait and see if the offense shows up. I give a huge edge to Peyton Manning at QB. Indy fans held their collective breath when Manning appeared to injure the thumb on his throwing hand Sunday night. It appears not serious and with a 2-week healing period, he'll be 100%. And if it comes down to a clutch field goal, Adam Vinatieri comes out on top hands down. Too bad either coach has to lose - a very even matchup and frankly, two black coaches vying for top honours is long overdue in the NFL.

Just a few final comments on last week’s Wild Card matchups before we move on to the Divisional Games…
I wasn't really looking forward to the Patriots/Jets game and frankly it held no surprises. New England totally controlled the Jets in the first half and methodically buried them in the second half. Having said that, the Jets had a better than respectable season with Chad Pennington giving fans a lot to look forward to next year.

New York Giants fans, please accept by sympathies and condolences for the continued pain to be inflicted on you by Tom Coughlin. I had hoped, for your sake, there would have been a sidelines change. Sadly, I was mistaken. But don’t worry. With a promising slow start next September, Coughlin will get the boot. He will have fired everyone else to blame long before then and will be the last one left standing.
Barry Bonds? Thank you for again proving just how classless you are. Yes, your positive drug test for amphetamines should have been kept confidential and, as usual, you wasted no time in throwing another teammate under the bus, blaming Mark Sweeney. Oh sure Barry, it’s all Mark Sweeney’s fault. We are going to learn about the wide use of amphetamines as winter turns to spring training. As for Barry Bonds – just go away. The San Francisco can send a strong message by not re-signing Bonds. No one else wants him either. The future of the Giants is Barry Zito, not Barry Bonds.
And finally, my thanks to the Baseball Writers Association of America for overwhelmingly denying Mark McGuire entry to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Different writers gave different reasons – the whole Grand Jury mess including his refusal to simply answer “the question”. Or is it simply that he just didn’t get enough hits in his career. He’s out and should stay out.

The Colts/KC game had enough warts to keep critics and fans second guessing until training camp. So let’s take a few minutes to pick apart the so-called game plan of Herm Edwards and the Kansas City Chiefs.
It was a bad omen for the Chiefs when Cornerback Ty Law intercepted Peyton Manning early on and down the field KC marched - all the way inside the 10 yard line - only to walk away with nothing. Trent Green couldn’t take them in and Lawrence Tynes couldn’t put a 23-yarder through the uprights in a dome stadium.

It was a valiant effort by Eli Manning and Jeremy Shockey didn’t leave anything in the tank either. And it’s the end of an era with the retirement of Tiki Barber. It’s on to a career in broadcasting for Tiki. The resurgent Eagles under the stability of Jeff Garcia were just too much. And if anyone gained from the Romo debacle, it was David Akers. Never was there more concentration and care given to a field goal attempt than the winner on Sunday. No screw-up and storybook runback by the Giants defense. And let's face it, the Giants had a horrible season. Before I leave this game, I have to talk about my game MVP - Brian Westbrook. He's a warrior and practically carried the Eagles on his back. And now it's on to New Orleans where the Eagles will have a very difficult time running against the New Orleans defense.

I hope you caught the Retirement Tribute last night in Detroit for Steve Yzerman. We all know Yzerman is a class act, but last night the Detroit Red Wings showed all professional sports teams how to properly show their appreciation to a retiring player. I’m not writing today to talk about Steve Yzerman. If you’re a hockey fan, you know all about his contributions to hockey and to the Detroit franchise in particular.
I carefully listened to Steve’s words of gratitude to everyone who played a part in his career – his family, teammates, the Detroit Red Wings organization and the fans. It was his focus on the Detroit Red Wings organization that turned my head.
